Glad you're back online. What intrigues me is the brightness of the silver reflecting balls. Generally, we are taught to meter the camera to eliminate highly reflective surfaces so as to not appear washed out. But here, this works perfectly on the top of the balls.
another excellent photo as I wrote about yesterday. great capture.
Dusty Lens - there's no washing out, in fact. The mirror balls are quite simply reflecting a boring white sky! If the sky had been blue, or even blue with nice white clouds, the feel of the shot would have been quite different. As it is, the balls have taken on a strange, almost cartoon appearance. Which contrasts nicely with the detail in the rest of the pic.
